The first item addressed was liquor permit number 751-1418 for Roosters located at 5571 Merrily Way. This application pertains to a change in corporate stock ownership within the existing corporation that holds the liquor permit. Officials clarified that this transfer does not alter the type of liquor permit or the nature of sales permitted at the establishment. The council is expected to vote on this matter in their next meeting.

The second item involved liquor permit number 0348647 for the Blanco Bar and Lounge at 5478 Brant Pike. This application is for a new liquor permit for a location that has previously operated under various names, including Crickets. The police and fire divisions have reviewed the application and raised no objections. In light of past concerns regarding the site, additional due diligence was conducted. The applicant, Brandon White from Dennison Avenue in Dayton, was confirmed by the Ohio Division of Liquor Control to have no other interests in liquor permits across the state.

The council will consider both applications in their upcoming session, with discussions focused on ensuring compliance and addressing any community concerns.
