Safety emerged as the top concern among participants, reflecting the area's alarming fatality rates. This finding underscores the urgent need for increased investment in safety measures to mitigate risks on the roads.

Transit connectivity was also a significant priority for respondents, emphasizing the demand for well-connected routes to facilitate easier travel. Additionally, roadway maintenance ranked high on the list, with many residents expressing fatigue over ongoing construction but recognizing the necessity of these improvements to accommodate regional growth.

Local agencies, including the cities of North Las Vegas, Las Vegas, Henderson, and unincorporated Clark County, submitted a total of 105 project requests to address these concerns. The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) and the traffic management center also contributed 14 project proposals. However, the anticipated funding falls short of the requests, highlighting a common challenge faced by many regions.

The RTC presented a fiscal overview indicating that the expected federal revenue over the life of the transportation plan is approximately $2.6 billion. This figure is significantly less than the total project requests, necessitating a careful prioritization process to align projects with available funding. The RTC employs a project benefit calculator to evaluate and rank projects based on various criteria, including safety, congestion, maintenance, and economic benefit.

The meeting concluded with a visual representation of the proposed projects slated for funding between 2027 and 2029, demonstrating an equitable distribution across the region.
