Following this, the Mooresville Fire and Rescue team presented a proclamation declaring October 6-12, 2024, as Fire Prevention Week. Fire Marshal Jason Workman highlighted the importance of fire safety education and community engagement, noting that the department has been actively promoting fire prevention through various initiatives, including partnerships with local schools and libraries.

Additionally, the town recognized the efforts of the Arts and Events team for their exemplary service in organizing seven major events during the town's 150th anniversary celebration, which attracted approximately 56,500 attendees. The team secured over $350,000 in sponsorships to support these events, showcasing the community's engagement and the town's commitment to fostering local culture and safety.
