The meeting also featured a presentation from Beth Kingaby of the Arts and Science Council (ASC), who detailed the impact of a $4,000 grant from the town. Kingaby reported that ASC has invested over $135,000 in Cornelius through various programs, including support for individual artists and community initiatives. She highlighted successful partnerships with local organizations, such as the Cornelius Library and the Caine Center for the Arts, which have provided free programming to residents.

Kingaby also discussed upcoming events, including a program honoring the history of the Smithville community, set to take place on November 2nd. She expressed appreciation for the town's past support and reiterated ASC's commitment to serving Cornelius, despite the town's decision not to fund them in the upcoming fiscal year.
