During a recent government meeting, educators and officials celebrated the academic achievements of middle and high school students in Lafourche Parish who scored perfect scores on standardized tests. The event recognized a select group of students from various schools, highlighting their exceptional performance in subjects such as English Language Arts and Algebra.

Among the honorees were students from Bayou Blue Middle School, Lockport Middle School, and Raceland Middle School, with several achieving perfect scores in 8th grade English Language Arts. Notable mentions included Ella Gautreaux and Lucille Dishman from Bayou Blue Middle School, as well as Connor Hitt from Raceland Middle School.

The meeting emphasized the significance of these accomplishments, noting that the recognized students represent less than 1% of their respective grade bands, with approximately 3,000 students participating in the LEAP tests across the district. Officials expressed gratitude for the hard work of both students and educators, acknowledging the collaborative effort that contributes to such academic success.

In addition to middle school achievements, high school students were also recognized for their perfect scores on the English LEAP tests. Students from Central Lafourche High School and South Lafourche High School were among those celebrated, with Aidan Stewart and Gabrielle Bollinger receiving special mention.

The event concluded with a call for continued support from parents and educators, reinforcing the idea that the success of these students is a result of their dedication, the support of their families, and the guidance of their teachers.
