During a recent government meeting, community leaders celebrated the unveiling of a vibrant mural created as part of the 2024 West End Arts Festival in La Grange. The mural, which embodies the spirit of connection and joy, was made possible through the collaboration of local artists Lizzie Celli and Bridal Lozano, along with contributions from residents and festival attendees.

Although Lizzie Celli was unable to attend due to health issues, her husband Chris Sully spoke on her behalf, sharing the personal journey that inspired the mural. He recounted how Lizzie, who channels her experiences with chronic migraines into her art, aimed to foster a sense of community and resilience through this project. The mural serves as a testament to the power of art in bringing people together, inviting participation from individuals of all ages during the festival.

Erica Lozano, another local artist, also played a significant role in the mural's creation, donating her time and talent to the project. The mural will be prominently displayed at the historic Stone Avenue Station, where it is expected to uplift and inspire visitors.
