In a recent city council meeting, officials discussed the ongoing development of the Foundry Phase 2 project, which follows the approval of a zoning change concept plan in October 2019. This plan allows for a mix of commercial, multifamily, and single-family uses in the area, aimed at enhancing walkability for residents.
The Foundry Phase 2 will consist of 334 apartment units distributed across four buildings, accompanied by a clubhouse. The project meets all necessary density, dimension, and parking requirements, as confirmed by the applicant, Caltera.
Key features of the development include various courtyards designed for resident enjoyment, such as a pool courtyard, gaming courtyard, relaxation courtyard, lounge courtyard, and a dog park. These amenities are intended to foster a community atmosphere similar to that of the already completed Foundry Phase 1, located to the south of the new site.
Additionally, plans for commercial retail spaces along Highway 161 are in place, further supporting the vision of a walkable neighborhood where residents can easily access local businesses. The council's commitment to this development reflects a broader strategy to create vibrant, interconnected communities within the city.
