The second request came from Jason and Destiny Bartley, who proposed to rezone 61.678 acres in Verona from single-family residential to general agriculture with proffers. The Bartleys aim to establish a small hobby farm and place a manufactured home on the property. The proffers include restrictions on intensive agricultural operations, limiting the number of swine and chickens due to nearby residential areas, and prohibiting commercial farm vehicles from using subdivision streets. The Bartleys emphasized their commitment to raising their children around agriculture, citing challenges in developing the land due to its rocky terrain and previous feasibility studies indicating it was not suitable for development.

Both proposals reflect a trend towards adaptive reuse and small-scale agricultural practices in areas designated for residential and business use, highlighting the community's evolving needs and preferences. The board closed the public hearing on the Bartley proposal without opposition, indicating a supportive environment for these changes.
