Officials are working with the parks department to prevent future occurrences, stressing the need for cooperation among parents, coaches, and event organizers.

Additionally, deputies assisted Grand Ledge Police in a vehicle pursuit that ended in a collision, resulting in minor injuries to another driver. The suspect vehicle's occupants were arrested on outstanding warrants, and an illegal firearm was discovered in the vehicle.
