These partnerships provide essential resources and guidance to enhance the district's cybersecurity posture. Notably, the district has implemented CrowdStrike software, provided free by the state, to monitor endpoints for malware and other threats.

Recent statistics reveal a troubling trend: K-12 schools have experienced a 225% increase in cyberattacks in 2023 alone, with over 1.8 million students affected by ransomware since 2020. The district's officials shared alarming examples of cyber incidents, including unauthorized access to student accounts and the release of sensitive information from other school districts.
