During a recent tour of the nearly completed Brentfield Township Town Hall, Trustee Sue Fields provided an update on the facility's progress and future plans. Accompanied by Senior Financial Administrator Kirsten and Fiscal Officer John Dalzell, Fields highlighted the building's design and functionality, emphasizing its capacity to accommodate the township's growth.
The tour showcased various offices, including those for the business manager, parks and recreation director, and zoning secretary, all designed to be spacious and efficient. Fields noted that the building is projected to be completed by December and is expected to serve the township for the next 50 to 75 years.
A key feature of the new town hall is its energy-efficient lighting system, which utilizes LED lights equipped with motion detectors to conserve energy when spaces are unoccupied. Fields also pointed out the strategic layout of the offices, which includes a dedicated area for zoning and parks divisions, enhancing operational efficiency.
The main entrance for visitors will be clearly marked, while separate employee access points are also included in the design. The tour concluded with a glimpse into the conference room, which will double as an executive session space for trustees.
Overall, the new town hall represents a significant investment in the township's infrastructure, aimed at supporting its growing administrative needs and enhancing service delivery to residents.
