St. Laurent, who has lived in the area since 2019, described ongoing issues with loud car engines, backfiring vehicles, and reckless driving behaviors, such as drifting and doing donuts in parking lots. He emphasized that these disturbances occur nightly, often late into the evening, disrupting the peace of the community and affecting local businesses, including his own Airbnb.

St. Laurent urged the council to consider solutions to this escalating problem, highlighting the negative impact on residents' quality of life and the potential harm to the town's reputation as a peaceful destination. The council acknowledged his comments, but no immediate solutions were proposed during the meeting.

Following the citizen comments, the council moved on to approve the consent agenda without opposition, indicating a smooth progression of the meeting's agenda. The council is expected to address the issues raised by St. Laurent in future discussions as they continue to seek ways to enhance community safety and well-being.
