During a recent government meeting, students from local schools were celebrated for their outstanding achievements in national competitions, showcasing the success of the district's Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. Dr. Paul Gansamer, the executive director of Adult Career and Technical Education, highlighted the accomplishments of students who excelled in various Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs).
The meeting recognized students from multiple schools, including Bridal Nolan Middle School and Braden River High School, who brought home first-place trophies in competitions such as video game design and animatronics. Notably, students from Braden River High School also excelled in board game design, demonstrating the diverse talents fostered within the district's CTE programs.
Additionally, students from Manatee Technical College were acknowledged for their achievements in television video production, with one graduate, Alejandro Hernandez Sadillo, currently serving in the Marines. The meeting underscored the importance of community support in facilitating these educational programs, with various local organizations contributing to the district's success.
