During a recent government meeting, significant achievements in local education and athletics were celebrated. Coach Michael Guyer and Coach Salvador Mades led the recognition of the girls' varsity team, which secured second place in their competition and qualified for the regional championships. The team members were individually acknowledged, highlighting their accomplishments and fostering a sense of community pride.

In addition to athletic achievements, the meeting also focused on educational initiatives aimed at enhancing college, career, and military readiness among students. This effort aligns with the district's goals of improving student life readiness. The Fine Arts Academy showcased its involvement in a long-standing program called Teamworks, which has engaged over 8,800 educators, students, and community members since its inception in 2004. The program resulted in 772 unique designs created across San Antonio, with 14 students from the Fine Arts Academy receiving honorable mentions for their contributions.
