The village of Lemont is gearing up for a series of exciting community events this fall, starting with the LeVont Farmers Market on September 24th. Hosted by Astra Garden, attendees can meet Jason Berry for the final Now and Then LeVont Downtown Book Walk of the season at 4:30 PM. The Farmers Market will continue every Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM until October 15th at the Village Green.
As part of Lemontster Days, the La Mont Area Historical Society is offering two ghost tours on September 28th: the Historically Haunted Bus Tour at 1:30 PM and the Haunted History Pub Crawl starting at 4:30 PM. Both events require registration and promise a thrilling exploration of Lemont's spooky history.
On September 29th, the annual Fall on Canal Premier Market will take place from 9 AM to 3 PM on Canal Street, featuring over 50 artisans, food, live music, and more. Entry is $5 for attendees aged 12 and up, with prepayment available online.
Throughout October, the Lemont Food Pantry will host a Treat or Treat initiative, with donation bins located at the Lemont Police Department and Jewel customer service counter. Additionally, the Lemont Park District is organizing a home decorating contest, with registration open now and decorations due by October 23rd.
