During a recent government meeting, the Board of Education addressed several key issues, including the approval of a significant policy revision and the retirement of a long-serving administrator.

The board conducted a final reading and voted on Board Policy 3.823, which pertains to Staff-Student Communication and Relations. After a brief discussion, the motion to approve the policy was passed unanimously, with all seven board members in favor.

In addition to the policy vote, the board acknowledged the retirement of Dr. Kelly Flacks, who has dedicated 35 years to education, with the last 29 years spent in the Blue Spring School District. Dr. Flacks, who has served as a math teacher and principal at various levels, is set to retire at the end of the school year. The motion to accept his retirement was also unanimously approved.
