In a recent government meeting, the Department of Public Works presented an amendment to a contract with KS Associates Incorporated for survey services related to the central services campus project. The amendment, which is set to take effect upon the signatures of all parties, allocates additional funds not to exceed $100,000 for the period from January 3, 2024, until project completion. Nicole English from Public Works highlighted that approximately half of the funds will address unexpected sanitary sewer work on Granger Road, while the remainder is reserved for potential future surveying needs.
The meeting also featured a proposal from the Department of Sustainability, which recommended awarding a contract to Canvas Consulting LLC for the development and implementation of an outreach campaign aimed at educating residents and retailers about the \"Bring Your Own Bags\" initiative. The contract, valued at up to $25,000, will be effective upon signatures and extend through December 31, 2025. Matt Ruby from the Department of Sustainability noted that this initiative is a collaborative effort involving county councils and aims to reduce plastic bag usage by promoting the use of county-branded reusable bags.
Additionally, the Department of Information Technology sought an RFP exemption to award a contract to Energy Cap LLC for energy management and accounting software products and services. The contract, amounting to $45,739.11, will cover the period from November 1, 2024, to October 31, 2025.
All proposals discussed during the meeting received unanimous approval from the council members present.
