During a recent government meeting, two primary topics were discussed: the Milford Township Act 537 Sewage Facilities Plan and a conditional use application for a proposed warehouse.
The Milford Township Sewage Facilities Plan is currently under review by the township, with no specific recommendations made by the committee. However, it was noted that the plan includes provisions for future growth in Milford Township.
The second topic involved a conditional use application for a 649,230 square foot warehouse located at the corner of Tollgate Road and Route 309. The committee recommended conducting a traffic impact study to assess how the increased truck traffic might affect local bus routes and student drop-off and pick-up times.
In addition to these discussions, updates from the Upper Bucks County Technical School (UBCTS) were shared. A successful senior expo hosted by Senator Jared Coleman attracted over 200 attendees, showcasing educational programs and services available to senior citizens in the community. The event highlighted the contributions of UBCTS students, including culinary and baking students who participated in a local festival.
Upcoming events at UBCTS include 8th-grade student tours and an open house scheduled for November 14th, aimed at prospective students and their families. The meeting also recognized students of the month, Austin Rice and Jacob Siegfried, both excelling in machining programs and already engaged in co-op placements.
The next UBCTS meeting is set for November 21st, providing further opportunities for community engagement and updates on educational initiatives.
