Neil, a dedicated public servant from Caldwell, Idaho, has made significant strides in both architecture and law enforcement throughout his career. After earning a degree in architecture from the University of Idaho, Neil spent a decade designing hospitals before a pivotal moment led him to seek a more community-focused path.

In January 2010, he joined the Ada County Sheriff's Office as a detention deputy, where he quickly distinguished himself through various roles, including training officer and area lead. His commitment to public safety and community service propelled him to a patrol position in 2013, where he further honed his skills as a post instructor and field training officer.

In 2019, Neil transitioned to the Star Police Department as a detective, taking on major crimes investigations and serving as a backup polygraph examiner. His success in law enforcement is attributed not only to his hard work but also to the mentorship he received from experienced colleagues, including Captain Vogt and Sergeant Weyers.

Neil's journey is supported by his wife, Andrea, who has been a source of strength throughout their challenges. Outside of his professional life, Neil embraces a full lifestyle, engaging in activities such as running and practicing Wing Chun martial arts.
