Residents of Mineola are gearing up for the annual Halloween festival, set to kick off at 7 PM on Friday, with s'mores and snacks available from 6:30 PM. Mayor Pryor and Deputy Mayor expressed their excitement for the event, highlighting it as a community favorite that marks the beginning of the holiday season.
During the recent government meeting, officials reflected on the success of various community events over the weekend, including a trolley tour organized by the Historical Society. Deputy Mayor praised the efforts of all involved, emphasizing the importance of community engagement.
As election day approaches on November 5, officials reminded residents of the significance of voting, with early voting starting on October 26 at the local community center. Trustee Clark noted the convenience of early voting, encouraging participation in both local and national elections.
