During a recent government meeting, the board celebrated the achievements of local fall sports teams, many of which have secured victories in their respective conferences and regionals. The board expressed gratitude towards coaches, families, and support systems, wishing the teams continued success as they advance in postseason competitions. Last year, the district boasted four to five state champions, setting high expectations for this year's athletes.
The meeting also included a consent agenda, which passed unanimously, approving two items: bills payable and an international trip to France scheduled for 2026.
In addition to these items, the board discussed the Wisconsin Student Assessment data. Director Mary Beth Polisi, along with Director Jan Chinnawith and Assistant Superintendent Sylvia Romero Johnson, presented a detailed report on the yearly assessments that are part of the Wisconsin Student Assessment System (WSAS). This framework is essential for the state’s compliance with the federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). The presentation aimed to provide insights into student performance and educational outcomes within the district.
