Residents of Ridgewood are set to gather for a community meeting on November 12 to discuss upcoming projects affecting West Glenn Avenue. The meeting aims to address concerns regarding easements, with officials drafting sample documents for residents' review. Village representatives are also coordinating with the County Council to ensure transparency in the easement language.

In addition to the easement discussions, the village is in talks with the Department of Environmental Protection regarding sidewalk improvements on the adjacent side of the street. Officials expressed optimism about collaborating with the affected residents to move the project forward.

To enhance communication with residents, a mailer will soon be distributed to all Ridgewood households. This mailer will include a QR code linking to a dedicated webpage where residents can sign up for various notifications, including weekly news updates, emergency alerts, and library newsletters.

As part of ongoing community engagement, the village has announced several upcoming events. Leaf collection began on October 14, with schedules mailed to residents and available online. A trick-or-treating event will take place at Village Hall on October 31, and an Elder Dinner is scheduled for November 10, requiring registration due to limited space.

In observance of Veterans Day, all village offices will be closed on November 11, and a service will be held at Memorial Park at 11 AM. Additionally, a household hazardous waste collection day is planned for November 16.

Upcoming village council meetings are set for November 6 and November 13, both starting at 7:30 PM. The council continues to encourage community participation and engagement in local governance.
