The city is gearing up for its annual \"Treats on the Street\" event, scheduled for Friday, October 25th, from 6 PM to 9 PM at Old Market Square. Danielle Hess, the program events coordinator, announced that the event will feature live performances by the Flashbacks on the amphitheater stage and a special appearance by the Sanderson Sisters from the beloved film \"Hocus Pocus.\"
This family-friendly event is free to the public and will host over 50 vendors offering candy to children. Hess encouraged community participation, highlighting the event as an opportunity for families to enjoy a festive evening together.
In addition to the festivities, the meeting also emphasized the importance of civic engagement, with early voting set to begin on Monday, October 21st. Voting will be available from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, until November 2nd, at five locations throughout the county. Officials urged residents to take part in the upcoming election, underscoring that every vote counts.
