Chair Sarah Lentz called the business meeting to order and completed roll call of board members and student representatives; the board recited the pledge of allegiance and offered a land acknowledgement naming Wabanaki peoples and restated Portland Public Schools' equity mission. Chair Lentz reminded attendees this is a hybrid meeting and noted the date (11/25/2025).
At the Nov. 25, 2025 Portland Public Schools Board of Public Education meeting the board held a caucus to make nonbinding leadership nominations, heard extended public comment calling for independent investigation of recent central-office restructuring and staff treatment, voted to send two personnel policies back to committee, approved ceasing TV‑3 operations for cybersecurity reasons, and received updates on device policy implementation and a major HR staffing and equity program rollout.
